Wentworth man dies after falling from bucket truck.

REIDSVILLE -- A Rockingham County man died Thursday after he fell from a bucket truck, authorities said.

David Wayne Watkins, 39, of Wentworth, was working for a tree service company at 889 Iron Works Road when he fell about 65 feet to the ground.

Watkins was dead by the time emergency personnel arrived, the Rockingham Sheriff's Department said.

Authorities said Watkins, an employee of Loye Grading and Tree Service, was not strapped into the bucket when he fell.
